A Place in the Sun A Place in the Sun is a classic, mid-century, true Palm Springs style inn resting on over an acre of lush lawns and gardens. This historic retreat was originally built in the early 1950's as a getaway for the production crew of the film classic, "A Place in the Sun", starring Elizabeth Taylor, Shelley Winters and Montgomery Clift. You too will feel like a celebrity when we pamper you with amenities such as high speed wireless Internet access, pillowtop mattresses, fluffy towels & crisp linens, new TV/DVD/VCR players in all living areas (2nd TV in all bedrooms), in your private poolside unit with incredible views and fragrant gardens surrounding our saltwater pool & spa.

Our soft-water saline pool and spa is a very unique feature. This natural alternative to "pool chlorine" chemicals offers our guests the luxury and the natural healthy benefits of swimming in crystal clear, mild salt water. It is environmentally positive and ecologically sound. This system uses only pure, natural salt - and recycles that salt continuously.

A Place in the SunThis classic property has sixteen single-story bungalows that form an enclave around the saltwater pool & spa, set amidst lush lawns (including an informal putting green) and gardens. Get away for a night, a week, or a month. All of our rooms are nonsmoking, but each unit has a private walled patio where smoking is allowed. There is a full library of movies and books to check-out, complimentary to our guests. Continental breakfast is available in the office everyday from 9am to 12noon. We also have goodies available everyday in the office from 9am to 5pm. Pet-friendly, too!

Our great South-end Palm Springs location and classic Palm Springs style make our hotel the perfect vacation spot. Located just south of downtown Palm Springs, it is a short walk, or just a moment's drive to world-class shopping, dining and nightclubs.
