Free Yoga in The Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden
Palm Springs Art Museum, 72-567 HWY 111, Palm Desert, Ca. 92260 / Every Wednesday until May / In collaboration with the Farmer’s Market of Palm Desert and lululemon athletica, the museum is providing individuals with the opportunity to experience the unique combination of art and yoga. Participants at these FREE outdoor yoga classes will be able to rejuvenate their soul in the serene setting of the museum’s Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden during the complimentary one-hour yoga classes each Wednesday by certified instructors from lululemon's ambassador program. Each month will feature a new yoga studio. All skill levels are welcome. Some yoga mats will be available on first come basis, and participants are advised to wear comfortable clothes. Afterwards, guests are invited to visit the Farmer’s Market in the museum’s parking lot featuring fresh produce from local growers (8 a.m.- 1 p.m.) or stop in The Galen building to view the changing art exhibitions. Indio Open-Air Market
Riverside County Fairgrounds, 46350 Arabia Street, Indio, CA / New and used, brand-name merchandise is discovered at the Indio Open-Air Market, held from 4-10 p.m., Wednesday and Saturday (except during Date Festival), at the Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival Fairgrounds. The architecture of the fairgrounds is that of a city in Morocco, and in that way is perhaps the most interesting of the fairgrounds to be found in Southern California. The market fills the palm tree fringed parking area of the fairgrounds. Shoppers can watch the sunset while buying "fresh from the field" produce picked that morning by our vendors. A trip for produce should always include the fresh dates that are grown in the immediate area. Nearly everything for the entire family can be found at reasonable prices by browsing the many aisles with the moon as your companion. The Rosie Casals & Jackie Cooper Team Tennis Pro-Am
Indian Ridge Country Club, 76375 Country Club Dr, Palm Desert, CA 92211 / Indian Ridge Country Club will host the first Rosie Casals & Jackie Cooper Team Tennis Pro-Am, an event that will include local professionals and juniors who will play in a Team Tennis Pro-Am with paid amateurs in the morning. Better Together Cancer Outreach Walk and Event
La Quinta Civic Center and Wellness Center, 78450 Avenida La Fonda, CA / On Saturday, May 2nd from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Desert Cancer Foundation (DCF) along with several other cancer support services from the Coachella Valley, are partnering with the City of La Quinta for a very special event. The event, “Better Together Cancer Outreach,” which is free and open to the public, provides cancer awareness and also offers a venue for a walk to remember loved ones lost to cancer and also honor those still fighting.

The event begins at 8 a.m. with a walk around the La Quinta Civic Center (78450 Avenida La Fonda) and concludes at giant white ribbons which participants are encouraged to sign in honor of anyone impacted by cancer. At 9 a.m. in the Wellness Center, there will be a slide show presentation; guest speakers and representatives from DCF, Gilda’s Club Desert Cities, Susan G.
