julieB My suggestion is to shop along the north end of Palm Canyon Drive in downtown Palm Springs. They have one modern store after another with every type of modern art, furniture and housewares that you could imagine!

Mid-Century Modern

Love love love the architecture... want to visit the House of Tomorrow (where Elvis & Priscilla lived)... any other ideas for that kind of thing? Not just the cool houses but also shops that feature 50's-60's inspired stuff (atmomic-style... furniture, housewares, etc)? I find it all infinitely diggagable!!! I'm a huge Marc Bellaire freak.
