Tangoargenta Read my answer carefully... I said it was agood place to go if want a Latin night. By the way though Argentine Tango is Argentine Tango and it may be danced in places in LA like that. Try the Argentine Association of Los Angeles where I have DJ'd and performed or my Thursdays.... That is only AT. I repeat Monday is a good place for those wanting the mixture..

Happy Dancing and above all alwayd have fun and don't judge

palm springs dancers Are you sure we are talking about the same dance. This is the same Argentine Tango I'm find in Los Angeles Milongas. By the way; I like the varity of dances. Every 3rd or 4th song being a tango is just fine. There are too many other dances we like to do (Salsa, Rumba, Cha-chas, bachatas, etc).

Good Latin but not Argentine Tango

They do a good job Monday nights but it is NOT Argenetine Tango. There are no Tandas, no Cortinas and you may get some Tango Music but never more than one at a time. If you want the "mix" and not serious about AT go Mondays. You want serious AT, traditional Music in Tanda with Cortinas NO other LATIN my Thursdays is where you belong. Contact us for Private, semi Private classes and if you want to be on our mail list. We are International Dancers from England.. who dance and teach all over including Buenos Aires... Argentinians come to us for lessons!!

We are looking to build a new Argentine tango community in the PALM SPRINGS area

Hi there
We are a couple dancing 14&11 years the Argentine Tango. We have taken tango classes from the world leader argentine tango teachers like Nestor Ray, Carlos Copello, the Balmaceda brothers Julio and Ernesto, Sergio Cortazzo, Gachi Fernandez, Fernanda Ghi, Guillermo Merlo and more.

We are looking to build a new Argentine tango community in the PALM SPRINGS area. We teach the traditional dance Buenos Aires style or as they call it here Closed-Embrace style, with emphasis on musicality and technique.

If you know someone (or yourself) who is willing to help to organize group and private classes we will come to Palm Springs twice a week, mid week to give 1.5hr class each time.
Thank you in advance
If you are interested, please feel free to contact us at tangoforu@yahoo.com

Astro,
Please contact me. I went to Billy Reed's this Monday and I understand your not liking it. I will never go again.
I can see that most weekends I will have to go to LA or San Diego to dance.
Please contact me and maybe we could practice together if your up to it.
Thanks
Larry

Hi,
My name is Larry and I will be moving to Twentynine palms within the month.
I teach beginning tango here where I live now and am really looking forward to dancing there in the desert. I just got back from the San Diego tango fest and had a good time.
I hope to meet you when I get out there.

Jojo Call Margo at 760-324-6572 and ask her about Practica & Milonga. Let her know her number came from Brian over at Desert Swing Dance Club (www.DesertSwingDanceClub.com). Brian is the president of the dance club and he's pretty up to date on all dancing info in the area.

Astro, unfortunately, I think that Billy Reed's class was the only place in town for what you're looking for. Maybe you could give it another shot? Otherwise, you may have to travel to L.A. to find something.

Anyone wants to talk to Brian about Desert Swing Dance Club, he can be reached at (760) 328-7085.

Good luck!
