Default Indian Canyons

We are 2 females and good hikers, but we will not venture off the designated trails. Would a good pair of running shoes, heavy socks, and jeans be appropriate to wear?

Is it possible to combine the Murray Canyon with the Andreas Canyon in a day trip?

Jillian,

Running shoes are fine, what's important is that you're wearing shoes that are comfortable while hiking (a lot of hikers like to wear Teva shoes). Heavy socks may not be a good idea since you may be hiking through some flowing water in Andreas Canyon. Wear comfortable socks and think about bringing an extra pair. If jeans are comfortable for you while hiking, then wear them. You can wear jeans, khakis, shorts, etc. Think comfort!

Murray Canyon is an easy hike south from Andreas Canyon.
