Who was the mayor of Palm Springs from 1968-1978? I have a friend whose father was a friend of his and the son wants to find him (if possible) to ask some questions about his dad.

Howard Wiefels was the mayor of Palm Springs during most of that period (seven years) and was the owner of a local mortuary company. Unfortunately, Mr Wiefels passed away on December 28, 2006 at the age of 84.
