ocated
directly behind Palm Springs City Hall, the Palm Springs Dog
Park is a 1.6 acre park where dogs can run free and their owners
can socialize in a beautiful environment. The Palm Springs Public
Arts Commission and Dog Park Subcommittee commissioned artist
Phill Evans to design and build an unusual iron fence equipped
with double gates that will not only be pleasing to the eye
but also insure that no dogs can run out when someone enters
the park.
The Palm Springs Dog Park features grass, trees, awnings, a
smaller fenced off area for smaller dogs, recycled picnic benches
& trash bins, pooper scoopers, 11 antique fire hydrants
(canine bathroom facilities!) and dual-drinking fountains made
to accommodate both the low-to-the-ground pooches and their
taller owners! Everyone is expected to clean up after their
pet and see that their dogs exhibit appropriate behavior.
The Palm Springs Dog Park is entirely funded by
public contributions from dog lovers all over the world. Please
