Local business owners Melissa Cronin and Mark Anderson have announced the arrival of The Hive Coworking, coming in January of 2020 to central Palm Springs. The 5,000 sq. ft. workspace will be located in the iconic Anderson Travel building—the most recently constructed office building on the Tahquitz corridor in Palm Springs. The Hive will feature a variety of workspaces and membership levels, from desk drop-ins to private offices and company suites. Memberships begin at $25/month.
Relatively new to Palm Springs, coworking spaces continue to rise in popularity as more and more people are working virtually. They are also attractive for small business owners and startups as well as for companies that might want a small satellite office. And, of course, they are tailor-made for solopreneurs—providing an attractive and functional workspace, amenities, and access to community (and, if they’re lucky: colleagues and ideas). As The Hive Coworking’s website announces: “Find Your Sweet Spot: Coworking & Community in Palm Springs.”
Amenities at The Hive Coworking will include: Business trainings, health & wellness events, free printing and scanning, free Nitro coffee and healthy snacks, and exclusive discounts from local partners. Anderson and Cronin also own and operate BuzzFactory, a local marketing firm and Honey Printing, which specializes in digital printing, mailing and signage at the same location. The Hive members will receive special deals from those businesses as well.
“At Buzz and Honey, we’ve always called our offices ‘The Hive,’” said Anderson. “Our culture is hardworking, yet creative and fun. Our mission has always been to help organizations grow.” “We are now extending that concept to other like-minded business creators and entrepreneurs,” Anderson explained. “We love what we do, and where we do it, so we want to give others the opportunity to come join our tribe.”
“The shape of the workforce and the concept of workspace is changing,” Cronin added. “We saw a real need for flexible, comfortable workspace solutions here in Palm Springs.”
“The purpose of The Hive is to help people grow their businesses,” Cronin continued. “But also, we want to help our members create a rich life and community. That means we’ll be offering health and wellness events like yoga or meditations alongside our business trainings.”
Members will be able to manage their visits and bookings online, facilitating easy user access. Click here to schedule a December preview and join the interest list for an upcoming open house. Leasing begins January 1, 2020.
