The 10,000+ seat Coachella Valley Arena (Acrisure Arena) is set to open in late 2022 near Palm Springs.
Located in Palm Desert, between the I-10 Freeway and the Classic Club golf course, the Coachella Valley Arena will feature concerts (11,679), basketball (10,815) and hockey (9,918).
It will be the home of the American Hockey League’s (AHL) newest franchise, the Coachella Valley Firebirds. The Firebirds are an owned-and-operated affiliate of the Seattle Kraken, which began play during the 2021–22 National Hockey League (NHL).
The Coachella Valley Arena will feature four VIP Club Areas with a total 970 seats (3 Club Areas on the Suite Level & 1 Bunker Club on Event Level). There will be 1 Premium Concourse Club (opposite the Stage) and 2 Clubs with one on each side of the Stage (East VIP Club and West VIP Club). There will also be 20 Luxury Suites that can accommodate 16 guests each.
Groundbreaking started on June 2, 2021. The land is owned by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians and the price tag for the arena is over $250 million.
