“We’ve spent years working on this event to create the very best comic con experience we can for fans,” says Christopher Spellman, founder and executive producer of Comic Con Palm Springs, “not only working with talent and exhibitors, but also being passionate fans ourselves, we really wanted to create an event to remember.”
The weekend-long event will host signature events at several locations throughout the city including a private dinner and party with Stan Lee [pictured at left], live concerts, including The Flux Capacitors [pictured below], screenings, parties, the first ever Palm Springs Zombie Walk, and the extensive exhibit hall at the Convention Center.
Bringing together some of the most passionate and talented people from the world of comic books and entertainment, Comic Con Palms Springs promises to be an event that bathes Palm Springs even more in a global spotlight, and generates media-rich attention as well as tourism during a typically slower summer month.
The team is also already looking ahead to future years. “Each year we want to make Comic Con Palm Springs something really amazing. We will be considered equal to San Diego or New York Comic Con. We have the talent committed, and everyone loves coming to Palm Springs—it’s the perfect match,” says Spellman. Additional event details, ticket packages and special guests appearances to be announced soon.
