Saguaro's Wild, Wacky & Wicked Halloween BashHalloween Costume Contest will take place on Friday, October 31th in Palm Springs on Arenas Road. The talent show will begin at 6:30 pm with the fabulous Bella da Ball host of the evening appearing with singers, dancers and very talented drag. Parade of Planes
More than 80 airplanes will taxi down the streets of Palm Springs for a “Parade of Planes” starting from the Palm Springs Convention Center to the Palm Springs International Airport. on Center.

Sunday, November 2 beginning at 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The Parade of Planes is expected to start at 2 p.m. and last approximately 2 ½ hours. The streets will reopen at approximately 5 p.m. Road Closures: Alejo Road from the airport to Avenida Caballeros Avenida - Caballeros from Alejo Road south to Margarita’s - Amado from Avenida Caballeros to Calle Alvarado - Calle Alvarado from Amado south past the Convention Center.

The 16th Annual Turkey Trot
Old Town La Quinta:  The 16th Annual Turkey Trot The 16th Annual Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27 at 7:30 a.m. This year's race will start and end on Main Street in Old Town La Quinta. The 5k run/walk will have a fast, flat course with beautiful desert landscape and panoramic views of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The race is suitable for all ages and levels of runners/walkers as well as dogs on leashes. There is plenty of free parking in Old Town, and participants and spectators are also encouraged to ride bikes to the event.

Advance registration is now open online at active.com. Registration is $30 for adults (ages 11 to 59), $25 for seniors (ages 60+), $25 for children (ages 10 and under) and $20 for cross country runners (ages 12 to 19). Registration day of the race is $35. A portion of the proceeds from the Turkey Trot will benefit Save-a-Pet, the no-kill shelter in Desert Hot Springs.
